• iPhone Duo: Settings > General > About > Model Name.

Why it matters:

• Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra: folds to 158.4 × 72.8 × 8.9 mm, the same as the Galaxy Z Fold 7, so Z Fold 7 cases fit it. If a product has its own Z Fold 8 Ultra option, pick that.
• Galaxy Z Fold 8: the wide model. It needs its own case.
• iPhone Duo: needs its own case too. No Galaxy case fits it.
• Galaxy Z Flip 8 and Z Flip 7: each has its own case version, so pick the exact model.

Why a hinge cover suits the Duo

Apple's hinge troubleshooting guide asks owners to check for dust along the hinge and says "there aren't diagnostics or software remedies for hinge issues". A hinge cover keeps grit and knocks off the spine. It can't fix a manufacturing defect, so if the inner screen shows a line, go to Apple. The Sentinel H2 (Z Fold 8 Ultra, 8, 7 and iPhone Duo) layers a soft TPU back, a hard polycarbonate shell and a reinforced front frame, with 2.30 mm raised edges. For a Z Fold 8 Ultra, 7, 6 or 5, the Vanguard H1 adds reinforced corners and a kickstand, and the Axis P2 adds a wrist strap.

For the commuter or driver

Will a Z Fold 7 case fit a Z Fold 8?

It depends which Z Fold 8. A Z Fold 7 case fits the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, which folds to the same 158.4 × 72.8 × 8.9 mm. It won't fit the wide Galaxy Z Fold 8, which needs its own case. Check the model in Settings > About phone first.

What do you buy someone who has an iPhone Duo?
